Meet Cultural Funders at the Library
Wednesday, February 26, 2020
Oregon Cultural Trust hosts "speed-dating" with grant funders.
Drop in at "Conversations with Funders" to meet up with grant makers offering more than $5 million in funding for fiscal year 2021.
Learn about funding opportunities, how to apply, and more with Oregon Cultural Trust Manager Aili Schreiner and colleagues from the Trust’s Cultural Partners: the Oregon Arts Commission, Oregon Heritage, Oregon Humanities, and the Oregon State Historic Preservation Office. Also present will be regional funders, statewide private foundations, and the Lane County Cultural Coalition.
Explains Schreiner, “It’s kind of like ‘speed-dating’ for cultural nonprofits and artists to meet funders and programming agencies.” Organizations encouraged to attend include libraries, arts organizations, museums, cultural centers, historical societies, arts alliances, literary groups, and heritage organizations. Individual artists and other interested members of the public are also welcome.
Eugene is one of eight communities statewide where this event will be held. “There are more than 1,450 cultural nonprofits serving Oregonians,” says Schreiner. “We want to make sure they know about the grant funds that are here to support them.”
