Now is the time to submit nominations for the recipient of the 2020 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Leadership Award. Each year on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 20, 2020) the City of Eugene Human Rights Commission recognizes an individual for their contribution in the area of human rights and race relations. The award will be given out following the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day march.
Please remember, anyone who has received the award in the past, is a City of Eugene employee, or is currently a member of the Human Rights Commission is ineligible for nomination.
The deadline to provide a nomination is 5 p.m., December 13, 2019.
Please nominate a group or an individual who you believe demonstrates leadership in making Eugene a more inclusive and supportive city for its communities of color.
