Park Information

This 27-acre park of open space and natural wooded area was home to the man that has come to symbolize political integrity and service in America: Senator Wayne Morse.

The park, house and picnic shelter are currently managed by the Eugene Recreation Services Division. The historic house is available for rentals for business meetings, weddings, reunions, special events and other group-oriented activities. An adjoining meadow and picnic shelter with limited kitchen facilities are also available for rent.

The park is open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. to the general public for nature walks and strolling. Rental areas are available 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Dogs are to remain leashed in all areas except the fenced off-leash dog exercise area. Visitors with dogs are asked to please observe the "scoop" law in the park.

Rental Information

The Wayne Morse Family Farm picnic shelter and field are currently available May through October for rental events of up to 125 people. For information, call the park office at 541-682-5380.

The House

The main floor is available for parties, weddings, meetings and special events. It provides a home setting with a capacity of 30 people and is available from 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. seven days a week.

  Rental Rates

  $40 per hour

  $6 kitchen fee

  Alcohol or commercial rentals are $55 per hour. A refundable cleaning/damage deposit is required $100/$150 with alcohol rental.

Shelter/Field

The shelter and field area together accommodate 125 people. It is available for rental in May through October from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. seven days a week. Since the City Summer Day Camp reserves use of the shelter on weekdays during June, July and August, it is available for rental in those months only on weekday evenings and weekends.

  Alcohol or commercial rentals are $35 per hour. A refundable cleaning/damage deposit is required $100/$150 with alcohol rental.
