Description

This access and parking area is located on the south side of Royal Avenue, approximately ¼ mile east of the intersection of Royal and Green Hill Road. A parking loop provides access to the Fern Ridge bike path, on the levee surrounding Meadowlark Prairie. The Checkermallow Access takes visitors up to a vantage point along Amazon Creek, looking out over Meadowlark Prairie. A spotting scope and interpretive signs can be found at the top of the levee along the bike path. Please see Meadowlark Prairie for a description of the area to which this access leads.
