Prefontaine Memorial

Description
Prefontaine Memorial Park is a 1.3 acre site off a hairpin turn on Skyline Boulevard. A memorial is set in stone at the site of the roadside boulder where Steve Prefontaine died in 1975. Visitors inspired by Prefontaine often leave behind memorabilia to honor him. The site was dedicated in December 1997.
