SUMMARY: TODAY will be “Day 3” of Safety Town and more than 140 pre–Kindergarten campers from two sessions will be practicing their traffic and pedestrian skills on the Safety “TOWN.” Also, this camp would not have been possible without generous donations from various companies and community members. The largest donation, $4,800, was from Allstate Insurance and was used to purchase the mat, which represents the streets and sidewalks of the “TOWN.” This is a fundamental equipment need for Safety Town and would not have been possible without Allstate’s generous contribution.

Staff will also provide an opportunity for you to interview a pre-K camper or a teen counselor to talk about their experience. There will also be an opportunity to get video footage of the children making a “walk/don’t walk” sign-craft…using a drawing of their own hands.
