[ARCHIVED] Multiple EPD units respond to shots fired call on W. 12th Avenue

At 1:09 p.m. on August 16, Eugene Police were dispatched to a shots-fired report in the 700 block of W. 12th Avenue. A suspect, described as intoxicated, arrived in a vehicle and was in a backyard when he fired some rounds. He was escorted back into the apartment by some individuals. 


Eugene Police Patrol, K9, and Crisis Negotiation Team were on scene. EPD SWAT and local law enforcement Drone Teams, who were training today, also responded to assist. Due to the call details, EPD had the Bearcat and G2 vehicle on scene and Eugene Springfield Fire medics staged. 


CNT attempted contact the suspect via phone without success. At 13:56 p.m. the suspect,  James Tucker Davidson, age 41 was taken into custody. Two other individuals were detained. Firearms were located in the apartment.
