[ARCHIVED] Public Invited to Weigh in on Renovations to Scobert Gardens Park

Parks and Open Space is hosting the first public meeting to gather community input on the renovation of Scobert Gardens Park.


Tomorrow’s meeting will include a staff presentation introducing the project and planning process. Community members will be encouraged to ask questions and share their vision for the park.


Pizza and beverages will be provided. All ages are welcome.


For those unable to attend the meeting, an online survey is available at engage.eugene-or.gov/scobert.


The City of Eugene will be leading community conversations and a design process through 2024 with construction in 2025. Funding for this project comes from system development charges.

About Scobert Gardens Park

Scobert Gardens Park is located in the historic Whiteaker neighborhood at 1180 W 4th Street. Initially established with a Community Development Block Grant, the park was brought to life through the dedication of numerous volunteers who contributed their labor and energy. Notably, the park serves as the venue for the Sunday Whiteaker Community Market, operating from May to October.
