The Eugene Marathon and University of Oregon Spring Football Game both return this weekend and thousands of people will be running and walking through the streets of Eugene as they participate in these popular events. On marathon day, navigating through the city will be different than normal as there will be several road closures.
Saturday, April 29
Eugene Marathon 5K: The Eugene Marathon 5K begins at 8:45 a.m. on April 29, mostly impacting streets in the University area.

Spring Football Game: The University of Oregon Spring Football Game kicks off at 1 p.m. on April 29. Eugeneans can expect closures and delays similar to gamedays in the fall near the Ferry Street Bridge, Coburg Rd., and along Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd near Autzen Stadium. Please be aware that the Spring Game will include military related noise. At 1 p.m., during the National Anthem, Eugeneans can expect a flyover of four Apache helicopters. At halftime three Gold Star families will have their loved ones honored with the firing of a Howitzer cannon (once for each family). The Spring Game has a history of honoring the United States Armed Forces.

Eugene Marathon and Half Marathon: The Eugene Marathon and Half Marathon begin at 7 a.m. on April 30. People should prepare for road closures during the morning and early afternoon hours and plan accordingly, especially around the University of Oregon area.
