UPDATE: Police respond to call from bank, detain suspect
During this incident, the suspect, Elijah Cain Weber, age 28, of Cottage Grove, resisted arrest. A subsequent investigation found the incident was not a robbery. However, during the investigation, police found that Weber had an arrest warrant, and had failed to register as a sex offender. He was transported to Lane County Jail and lodged on the following charges:
Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct in the First Degree, Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, Warrant.

PREVIOUS INFORMATION:
At 2:15 p.m. today, March 22, a bank robbery suspect was reported inside at Wells Fargo Bank, 99 E. Broadway. Multiple Eugene Police units responded to the area, and the suspect was detained at 2:29 p.m.
