[ARCHIVED] Police respond to gunshot wound call, suspect in custody


At 10:40 a.m. on January 7, Eugene Police responded to a call regarding a gunshot wound in the 2900 block of Allane Avenue. Eugene Springfield Fire EMS also responded and transported one man to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. A male suspect, Dustin William Harris, age 31, was located near Chapman Lane and River Loop 1, north of Eugene, and taken into custody with the assistance of Oregon State Police. He is being lodged at Lane County Jail on Assault in the First Degree. There is no ongoing threat to the public.
