[ARCHIVED] Can you ID these potential bus homicide witnesses?

UPDATE ON NOVEMBER 23, 2022:

The Eugene Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the two individuals in the attached photographs. These two people are possible witnesses to the homicide which occurred on the LTD bus on November 19th, 2022.  If you know either of the people in the photographs please call 541-682-5170.

UPDATE ON NOVEMBER 21, 2022:

The victim in this case is Travis Allen Sanders, age 69, of Springfield. Violent Crimes Unit is continuing to investigate and is seeking to speak with several people who witnessed the incident. Detectives are asking them to please come forward with information in this case. UPDATE ON NOVEMBER 20, 2022:

 The victim in this case subsequently died. Eugene Police Department is waiting to release his identity until after his family is notified. The suspect, Derek Jules Dinnell, age 30, is lodged at Lane County Jail on charges of Murder in the Second Degree. 

 

Violent Crimes Unit detectives are still working the case and seeking several people who witnessed the assault. Detectives are asking them to please come forward with information in this case. PREVIOUSLY RELEASED INFORMATION:

At 9:06 a.m. today, Nov. 19, a man hit another male on an LTD bus. The male suspect left. EPD and UOPD responded to the scene. Eugene Springfield Fire also responded to treat the unconscious male victim. The location of the assault was the EMX stop on 11th east of Kincaid. The suspect was stopped and detained. The victim was transported to a local hospital.
