[ARCHIVED] EPD displays pink for Breast Cancer Awareness month

Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbon

Be on the lookout for the Traffic Safety Unit motorcycles and 10 Eugene Police patrol vehicles that have distinctive pink Breast Cancer Awareness ribbons in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October 1 – October 31). Each person driving a patrol vehicle has a personal story to tell. Many of us at Eugene Police and in the community have had our families’ lives touched in some way by breast cancer.

TOGETHER WE RISE! EPD stands in support of everyone in our community who is fighting this disease, along with their families and friends.

The international symbol of breast cancer awareness is a pink ribbon. The color pink also is an expression of moral support for people with breast cancer.
