[ARCHIVED] City of Eugene Closures in Observance of Independence Day

City of Eugene services and facilities have different schedules for holiday hours. All City of Eugene administrative offices will be closed on Monday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day.


Library, Recreation and Cultural Services

All locations of the Eugene Public Library and all community centers will be closed for Independence Day on Monday, July 4.  Amazon Pool will be on a holiday schedule on Monday, July 4 with lap and on your own fitness from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and recreation swim from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.  Echo Hollow Pool will be on a holiday schedule on Monday, July 4 with lap and on your own fitness from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and recreation swim from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.


Police, Fire, Medical and Other Emergency Services

Police, fire, medical and other emergency services will be provided as usual on Monday, July 4. The main police station on Country Club Road is open 365 days a year. Although the Downtown Public Safety Station will be closed on July 4, the Downtown Patrol Team will be on duty in the area.  The Fire & EMS Administration offices, including Ambulance Billing, will be closed on Monday, July 4.


Parking

City-managed parking garages, surface lots and on-street meters will be free on July 4, except for the train depot surface lot. On-street parking limits in the Arena District surrounding Matt Knight Arena are in effect at all times as per posted signs.


Public Works

No work will be done on City street repair projects. Around-the-clock health and safety services, such as regional wastewater treatment, will continue without interruption.


Airport

The Eugene Airport, which is operated by the City of Eugene, will be open for business as usual through the holidays. The airport administrative offices will be closed July 4. For flight schedule information, go to www.flyEUG.com or call 541-682-5544.


Spay and Neuter Clinic

The clinic will be closed on Monday, July 4. 

 


All City offices and facilities will return to regular hours on Tuesday, July 5, unless otherwise noted. The next holiday observed by the City of Eugene is Labor Day on Monday, September 5, 2022.
