[ARCHIVED] May 19, head-on crash at W. 11th and Roosevelt

At 11:18 p.m., May 19, there was a head-on crash reported on the overpass on Beltline, just south of Roosevelt. The crash was reported to be blocking lanes. The involved vehicles were a Dodge Dakota pickup and a Chevy Tahoe. Eugene Springfield Fire and Eugene Police responded. 


The driver of the Dakota is identified as Trisha Marie Whitlock, age 50, of Eugene. She was transported by Eugene Springfield Fire to a local hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.


The driver of the Tahoe is identified as Marina Anatasia Irish, age 26, of Veneta. She was taken to the hospital by a family member. 


Two dogs had been in the Dakota and one was transported by an EPD officer to an emergency veterinarian for treatment of injuries, and the other did not appear to require emergency treatment. 


EPD’s Major Collision Investigation team responded and is investigating the cause of the crash.
