[ARCHIVED] Instagram Post Regarding South Eugene High School

Eugene Police Headquarters Sign

On December 5 at 3:53 p.m., Central Lane 911 received a call about an Instagram post with photos of Black students referencing an event to take place on December 14. This event was not scheduled to occur at the school, but instead for a meet-up at a specific geographic location away from the school. There was no specific threat or criminal act and the post was taken down and not able to be reviewed. There was no reference to a school shooting reported, however it happens that December 14 is the anniversary of Sandy Hook. There are no associated names to check. Eugene Police is continuing to review this. At this time there is no known credible threat of school violence.

If anyone has further information they are asked to call the non-emergency line at 541.682.5111 and reference Incident 21312942
