South Willamette Street Improvement Project Progressing

south willamette street

The South Willamette Street Improvement Project is currently taking shape on South Willamette Street from 23rd to 29th Avenue. If you walk, bike, roll or drive down Willamette you will see work completing on the east side of the street and work continuing on the west side. The final design will boast a smooth street surface, a center turn lane, bike lanes, widened sidewalks, pedestrian lighting and street trees. The new complete street design and improvements will make the corridor safer for all modes of travel.

Head on over to see the street in action! Currently, some sections of the street are repaved and ready for biking and driving. On the east side of the street, the wide sidewalks are complete and the pedestrian lighting and street trees have been installed. More project details here: eugene-or.gov/2055
