[ARCHIVED] Man Arrested After Crashing Truck into The Vintage Underground

On September 1 at 2:35 a.m. Eugene Police responded to a call at W. 7th Avenue and Garfield Street regarding a suspicious vehicle that was missing a tire and has sparks flying as it drove south on Garfield Street. The Vintage Underground at 630 Garfield Street, reported a truck had crashed into the roll-up garage, hit equipment inside and caused a significant amount of property damage. They reported the truck continued driving until it stopped at apartments at 1459 City View. An officer arrived to the City View location and contacted David Cervantes-Savina, age 26, of Springfield. He was outside of the truck and searching for items inside. Cervantes-Savina appeared intoxicated, was identified as the driver of the truck, and had a warrant for his arrest. 

 

After an investigation,  Cervantes-Savina was transported and lodged at the Lane County Jail for DUII, Reckless Driving, Hit and Run - Property Damage and for the warrant.
