Teens learn to snowboard in a three-day, Level I Snowboarding class offered by Recreation Services. The class is provided in partnership with Snowboarding Outreach Society, a values-based, youth development nonprofit that builds character and self-esteem in youth through programs that offer outdoor adventure and leadership development curriculum.
The class does not require any prior experience and, in fact, it doesn’t even require any gear. All participants receive professional instruction, equipment rental, lift tickets, transportation, and, if needed, even outerwear. The class is designed to help students overcome fears and discover new possibilities. The cost is $150 and the next three-day session will be Feb. 24, March 3, and 10.
