UPDATE on April 19, 2021
The victim has been identified as Jeffrey Allen Chaney, age 39, and his photo is below. Please give Jeffrey’s family time and space to grieve. We are asking anyone with information that might be helpful to the case to call Detective Curry at 541.682.5166 and reference the case, 21-05675.
PREVIOUS INFORAMATION on April 15, 2021:
Yesterday, April 14, at 6:18 p.m., a man came to University District Hospital, 1255 Hilyard Street, with a gunshot wound. He subsequently died of his injuries. Eugene Police Patrol as well as Violent Crimes Unit responded. Victim identification is not being released at this time, pending next of kin notification.
