Eugene Fix It Fair Offers Ideas for Safe, Affordable, Healthy Homes and Families

What: Free, fun event with lots of valuable information and resources, free food, coffee and childcare
Where: Willamette High School, 1801 Echo Hollow Road.
When: Saturday, January 26, 2013 - 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

The Fix It Fair is a free City of Eugene event offering simple and affordable ways to improve your home, save money and connect to resources in English and Spanish. Join your community and be inspired by new ideas for safe and affordable healthy homes and families.

• Free workshops beginning on the hour
• Free coffee by Cafe Mam
• Free food from Organically Grown and Sara’s Tamales
• Free professional childcare
• Free giveaways every hour
• Free LTD day passes to the event

Here is a quick list of the twelve free workshops offered:
• 9 a.m. - Gleaning 101; Online Resources for Self Help Electronic Repair
• 10 a.m. - Recycling10; How do I start a business?
• 11 a.m. - Mold and Moisture; Making the most of your tax return
• Noon - Compost: The Home Grown Solution; How to be a good neighbor
• 1 p.m. - Bicycling comfortably/confidently to work or school; Foreclosure Intervention
• 2 p.m. - Realistic ways to conserve energy; Step by step energy efficiency (en espanol)
