Martin Luther King Jr. Day is Monday, January 21. Community members have worked together to plan and coordinate many activities honoring Dr. King’s contributions and spirit. There are many ways to take an active part in these events. The links below will direct you to information on events beginning Monday January 21 and continuing throughout the rest of the week.
The holiday is a great time to take a day ON (not a day off), as it provides service learning opportunities and a chance to come together with others to remember Dr. King’s legacy. For those with a particular interest in using the holiday as a chance to serve, one option is to register here with the UO’s Duck Corps program, which encourages community participants.
The 5th Annual Hendricks Park MLK Day of Service is looking for volunteers.
