[ARCHIVED] Resident Interrupts Vehicle Break-in, Suspect Arrested

 On December 29 at 3:37 a.m. Eugene Police officers responded to the 500 block of Fair Oaks Drive after a resident reported seeing a man trying to 

break into his Chevrolet Suburban. The victim confronted the man before that could happen and the man later identified as James Sebastian Holbrook, age 41, left. 

 

Multiple officers arrived in the area and quickly and began searching for Holbrook. He was found hiding behind a car in the 1000 block of Fairway Loop. When police searched him incident to the arrest, they found broken automotive glass in his pocket and he had some Schedule IV controlled substance (pills) for which he did not have a prescription.  

 

Holbook was charged with Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree, Attempted Unauthorized Entry Motor Vehicle, and two counts of Unlawful Possession Controlled Substance Schedule IV.
