[ARCHIVED] Public Works seeking new Street Repair Review Panel members

Repaving Willamette Street in Downtown

Do you have a passion for pavement and want to improve the way we move through town? Eugene Public Works wants to hear from you! The City is looking for up to two residents to join the Street Review Repair Panel (SRRP). The panel is instrumental in reviewing work from the road bond measure and providing feedback and recommendations to City staff, the City Manager and Eugene City Council.

The City formed the SRRP in 2009 following the approval of the 2008 street repair bond. The 9-member panel typically meets three times over a 4-month period. They learn about the current condition of the roads and inspect the projects completed in the prior year. The panel reviews and evaluates the report prepared by the City’s external auditor with respect to the City’s use of the bond proceeds.

The SRRP was also instrumental in drafting the 2012 and 2017 road bond measures, as well as increasing the amount of bond funding for active transportation.

For more information about the SRRP, or to submit your name for consideration, contact Katie Marwitz, acting Principal Engineer, kmarwitz@eugene-or.gov. The deadline to apply for the SRRP is December 31, 2020.
