[ARCHIVED] Police Respond to Calls About Disorderly Man at Party

At 12:53 a.m. today, December 10, Eugene Police were called to a party at  apartments at 1226 Acorn Park. A man later identified as Craig Lee Weiler, age 22, of Eugene, was celebrating with some friends. There were multiple calls from the party for assistance with Weiler, as those present needed help controlling him. Weiler was reported to be pushing people and becoming aggressive. 

When officers arrived, they heard screaming from inside the residence and became concerned for the safety of other individual`s inside the home. Weiler was being held down by multiple people. Officers tried to calm Weiler while conducting an investigation.  At one point Weiler postured towards officers as if he was going to punch them.  Weiler was detained but continued to be uncooperative.  Officers struggled to maintain control of Weiler has the pulled and pushed away from officers.  An officer was injured during this struggle. Weiler was lodged at the Lane County Jail on warrants and prohibited noise.
