[ARCHIVED] Coats for Bethel Students

The December coat drive for Bethel School District students, organized by Bethel School District School Resource Officer Nick Reich, is now in its second year. This year, coat contributions nearly doubled with a total of 108 coats.

Officer Reich works with the district to identify students most in need of coats, and receives a list of student names with their size, and their desired coat color and style. Community members wanting to give back to the community and provide a warm coat to the students were subsequently able to shop for a specific coat off the list. The coats were then dropped off at the home of Officer Reich during a scheduled timeframe, keeping with social distancing guidelines via a drive-thru cul-de-sac, and placed in a collection tent on his front lawn.

This morning, Officer Reich delivered the coats to seven different schools in the Bethel School District for the students to pick-up.
