[ARCHIVED] Eugene Police Respond To Gunshots on North Bank Path

On November 24, at approximately 8:16 a.m., Eugene Police responded to a report of a gunshot victim in the area of  the Autzen bike bridge on the North Bank Path. 

 

Initial details indicated a man, unknown to the 911 caller, had been shot. When police arrived, responding patrol officers found the man had not been shot, but was the victim and target recipient of the fired gunshots.   

 

Police received information of a male jogger, not yet identified, wearing all grey, with grey sideburns, who had been in the area and who told the caller to call 911 after he witnessed the event. 

 

Police ask that any person who was in the area around 8:15 a.m., who might have observed the incident on the North Bank Path under the Autzen bike bridge to contact Officer Trevor Hart at 541.654.1242 (email: trevor.t.hart@ci.eugene.or.us), or Officer Noelan Smith at 541.852.0047
