[ARCHIVED] Egan Warming Center to Activate Saturday Night

Panoramic view of downtown Eugene looking towards Spencer Butte

In response to temperatures predicted to fall below freezing on Saturday, Nov. 21, Egan Warming Center is operating two locations under strict COVID-19 protocols:

Lane Events Center (County Fairgrounds)

796 West 13th Avenue in Eugene

Egan will be opening two buildings:

  • Wheeler Pavilion - Opens at 7 p.m.
  • Expo Hall #2 - Opens at 9 p.m.

Due to public health guidelines, Egan is not permitted to have more than 50 people in each space, including volunteers. This means there will only be space for 80 guests total. Accessible site. Pets are welcome.

Please note that they will not be opening a Springfield site for this night. Unfortunately, they have not yet been able to secure a suitable space to operate in Springfield. They are still looking for a long term solution. Springfield guests, please go to the County Fairgrounds for shelter. LTD will get you there.

Youth Site (at First United Methodist Church)

1376 Olive Street in Eugene

This site will open at 6 p.m. Accessible Site. Pets are welcome.

Egan has an ongoing need for volunteers. See information about the next virtual Zoom trainings:
