[ARCHIVED] Stronger Together - Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Eugene Police Headquarters Sign

Be on the lookout for the eye-popping Traffic Safety Unit motorcycles and 10 Eugene Police patrol vehicles that have distinctive pink  “POLICE” lettering on their sides in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October 1 – October 31). During the month, you may also see police officers wearing bright pink undershirts. This is because many of us at Eugene Police and in the community have had our families’ lives touched in some way by breast cancer.

STRONGER TOGETHER! EPD stands in support of everyone in our community who is fighting this disease, along with their families and friends.

The international symbol of breast cancer awareness is a pink ribbon. The color pink also is an expression of moral support for people with breast cancer.
