[ARCHIVED] City Offices Closed for New Year’s Holiday

All City of Eugene administrative offices, community centers, Libraries and book drops, and the Hult Center Ticket Office will be closed on Jan. 1. Libraries and book drops will close at 6 p.m. on Dec. 31. The Hult Center Ticket Office will be open on Monday, Dec. 31. Hult Center ticket purchases, many Library services, and registration for Recreation programs are available online 24/7.

Echo Hollow and Sheldon Pools and Fitness Centers will be closed on New Year’s Ever, Dec. 31, and on New Year’s Day, Jan. 1. Both pools are operating on a holiday schedule through Jan. 5. Call for details.

Police, fire, medical and other emergency services will be provided as usual on Jan. 1. The main police station on Country Club Road is open 365 day a year, however, the West University Public Safety Station will be closed on Jan. 1. Around-the-clock health and safety services, such as regional wastewater treatment, will continue without interruption. Parking is free on Jan. 1 for City-managed on-street meters, garages and surface lots, except for event parking.

The Eugene Airport, which is operated by the City of Eugene, will be open for business as usual on both holidays. For flight schedule information, go to www.flyEUG.com or call: 541-682-5544.

All City offices and facilities will return to regular hours on Jan. 2, the Wednesday following New Year’s Day. The next holiday observed by the City of Eugene is Martin Luther King’s birthday, Jan. 21.
