Family Storytime LIVE

Bilingual StoryWalks®

All ages: take a walk a enjoy  bilingual children’s picture book! The illustrated pages are displayed on a series of signs arranged in order along the path to read as you stroll through the park.

"Sasquatch" Writer John Zada: Live Online

Join us for a live interview with journalist John Zada about his book "In the Valleys of the Noble Beyond: In Search of the Sasquatch."

This fascinating book explores the field of sasqualogy and the idiosyncratic culture that has formed around the search for proof of Bigfoot. Zada traveled extensively through Canada’s Great Bear Rainforest and interviewed First Nations communities with rich histories of sasquatch sightings and stories. The accomplished journalist will talk about these experiences and share images from his trip to one of North America’s most remote and beautiful wilderness areas. John Zada is a writer, photographer, and journalist drawn to stories about adventure and far-flung parts of the world. He has worked in over two dozen countries and spent years as a journalist in the Middle East. His work has appeared widely, including in the Globe & Mail, Toronto Star, Explore, CBC, Al Jazeera, BBC, and the Los Angeles Review of Books. Read more.


Imagination Library Film: Live Online

Get together to watch the new documentary "The Library That Dolly Built" at www.facebook.com/dollysimaginationlibrary. The film will premiere live online, followed by a conversation with and a performance by Dolly Parton. No Facebook account or login is needed.

In the days just before the film, keep an eye on social media by Eugene Public Library Foundation and Eugene Public Library. Activity Kit for Adults

All locations: Friday, December 11, starting at 10:00 a.m.

Drop by any Library location to pick up a free art activity kit to enjoy at home and keep.  This kit will provide materials and instructions to create your own glass marble magnets. Kits will be available at all Eugene Public Library locations starting Friday, Dec. 11 at 10:00 a.m., while supplies last.
