All ages: take a walk and enjoy the bilingual children’s picture book "Grumpy Bird / El Pájaro Gruñón" by Jeremy Tankard. The illustrated pages are displayed on a series of signs arranged in order along the path to read as you stroll. Thanks to The StoryWalk® Project, created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Windfall Reading Series: Austin Gray and Shirley Perez-West

Join the Windfall Reading Series to enjoy writers Austin Gray and Shirley Perez-West reading live and taking questions online.
Austin Gray’s work has appeared in Gertrude, Floating Bridge Review, Envoy, and Willamette Week. His chapbook “The Mystery of Horses” was co-winner of the 2010 Robin Becker Prize. He earned an MFA at the University of Montana studying under Richard Hugo.
Shirley Perez-West’s poetry has been published in “Sheltering,” an anthology of Northwest poets writing during the pandemic. Her novel “El Sueño,” an atmospheric rendering of the American takeover of California, is being considered for publication. She has been a reporter for the Associated Press, the Eugene Register-Guard, and a contract features writer for print and online publications.
The Windfall Reading Series is presented in partnership by Eugene Public Library and Lane Literary Guild.

A live conversation with Cheryl Hartup, Curator of Academic Programs and Latin American and Caribbean Art at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art and Wendy Echeverría Garcíath, UO student and JSMA intern. Enjoy a virtual visit to early 20th century Mexico to explore artworks produced in response to the Mexican Revolution (1910-1920). Learn why printmaking flourished as artists addressed what happened to the ideals of the Revolution, and see imagery that attacked fascism and imperialism, promoted labor and indigenous rights, and expressed a renewed interest in cultural traditions.
