Police looking for information in stabbing

On July 18, at approximately 11:14 p.m., police responded to the area of W 18th Avenue and Chambers Street following information of an unknown suspect who stabbed the 24-year-old victim on the side of his upper body, and then ran northbound on Chambers Street from the location. 


Police received information that the incident happened after a brief exchange between the two subjects. The suspect subsequently followed the victim across the street from the area of the Subway restaurant, and assaulted him near Dandelions Flower and Gifts Shop. 


The suspect is described as a white male, age 30-40 years, short brown hair, clean shaven, and last seen wearing a black t-shirt, blue pants, and gray hooded sweatshirt.    


The victim was transported to the hospital by medics with a serious physical injury.  Police are asking that if anyone has information about this incident or suspect, to contact Detective Jennifer Curry at 541.682.5166.
