[ARCHIVED] Memorabilia of deceased military veteran stolen from family during burglary

On July 4, 2020, police received information of a burglary that occurred at the  garage unit area of an apartment on the  4100 block of Aerial Way. The incident happened between June 30, and 3 p.m. on July 4, when the victim became aware that an unknown suspect had tampered with the locking mechanism to gain entry to the location.

 

Police are hoping to help the victim recover the stolen items, and are asking the public to be on the lookout if they happen to see someone attempting to show, display, or sell what appear to be the following items that were taken from the apartment. 

 

Items Include: Two plastic military style cases, several military uniforms (including woodland and desert camouflage), combat boots, gas mask, hats and a flak jacket. The cases also contained military awards, letter from deployment, plaques, flags, and framed photographs, including photograph of victim’s father with former President George W. Bush.
