[ARCHIVED] Arrest Made in Armed Robbery Suspect During Looting

UPDATE:

EPD Special Investigations Unit has arrested Joseph Michael Lewis Kashkash, age 19, in conjunction with the armed robbery portion of the incident. SIU is thankful for all the tips received in this case and credits the arrest to help from the public and media. SIU is still seeking information on the looting suspect who was robbed, and any other suspects in the extensive damage to the businesses at W. 7th and Washington. 

 

Kashkash was lodged at Lane County Jail on charges of Robbery in the Second Degree and Riot.

PREVIOUS INFORMATION RELEASED:

Eugene Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit has been working steadfastly to provide safe conditions for the ongoing protests and marches, while also following up with an investigation regarding the looting and property damage from a riot on the nights of May 29 and into the early hours of May 30. Among the many people involved in the riot, EPD SIU is needing help to identify the suspect and victim in this apparent armed robbery with a gun:
