[ARCHIVED] Traffic Stop Results in Driver and Passenger Arrests

At 12:34 a.m. on May 10, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a minor violation at Roosevelt Boulevard and Baxter Street. The passenger, later identified as Christopher Eugene Montez, age 47, of Eugene, started to exit the vehicle and he was instructed to get back in. He was compliant. The driver, Alicia Kay Treon, age 46, was found to be driving while suspended and she had a warrant out of Lane County Circuit Court for a Possession of Methamphetamine charge. Montez also had two warrants, which were cite and release warrants. Montez had brass knuckles in his pocket and is a felon.


Treon and Montez were taken into custody. During an inventory of the vehicle prior to it being towed, officers located a stolen firearm, a user-quantity of heroin and methamphetamine, as well as more than 40 grams of methamphetamine.


Treon was lodged at Lane County Jail for Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Heroin, Possession of Methamphetamines, and her warrant for Failure to Appear, and she was cited for Driving While Suspended.


Montez was lodged at the Lane County Jail for Felon in Possession of a Restricted Weapon and Delivery of Methamphetamines. Case 2007713
