[ARCHIVED] Suspect in Downtown Parking Garage Vehicle Break-in Arrested

Over the past four weeks, there have been numerous vehicle break-ins in the downtown area. Eugene Police Downtown Team has been on the lookout for any suspects to help remedy this trend.


On May 3, at 8:30 a.m., a man entered the parking structure at 10th and Oak and broke the window of a vehicle parked at the City parking structure. City Parking Services provided video surveillance to the Eugene Police Downtown Team. The team recognized the suspect in the video as a man who frequents the downtown area.


On May 5, at 10:29 a.m., an EPD Downtown Officer spotted the suspect, Michael Adren Zoch, age 31, near 10th and Olive Street (within a block of the vehicle break-in incident) and contacted him. Zoch had an outstanding Parole Violation warrant and was arrested. Charges for Zoch include Unlawful Possession of Heroin, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Entry to Motor Vehicle, Theft, Criminal Mischief, Criminal Trespass 2.
