On April 29,
around 11:35 a.m., police responded to a firearm theft at Mazama Sporting Goods
at 1055 Bailey Hill Road. The suspect, Morris Lindsey Thalhamer, age 31, of
Eugene, was located a short time later approximately ¾ miles west from the
business. He was taken into custody with the assistance of Officer Michael
Casey and his partner, K9 Marco, on charges related to Theft of a Firearm.
The investigation is ongoing.
