[ARCHIVED] Playgrounds, Sport Courts and Skateparks Closed by Executive Order

In accordance with Governor Brown’s executive order No. 20-12 on Mar. 23, 2020 all skateparks, outdoor sports courts and playground equipment areas are closed until further notice.

Parks, paths and trails remain open for use. The executive order states that people may take part in outdoor activities like walking, hiking, biking and running, but social distancing requirements must be followed. Groups or gatherings in parks are prohibited and individuals must remain at least 6 feet away from each other.

Signs will be posted at playgrounds, sport courts and skateparks advising of the closures. Signs encouraging social distancing will be posted in prominent areas of recreational areas that are open for use.
