Whether you’re a beginning or expert gardener, you can find a wide variety of plants to try with Eugene Public Library’s new Seed Library. At the Downtown Library, find the Seed Library on the 2nd floor, where seeds are kept in the drawers of one of our treasured vintage card catalogs. Seeds are also available in smaller collections at the Bethel and Sheldon Branches.
Everyone is invited to get and donate seeds, and to come to free gardening workshops (check the calendar). The Seed Library and Library events are free and open to all (no library card required).
The Seed Library is one of the many ways Eugene Public Library supports sharing resources to enhance our community. We encourage individuals, organizations, and businesses to donate seeds to help the Seed Library continue to bloom. Thank you to our initial Seed Library donors including Adaptive Seeds, Down to Earth Garden Center, Jerry’s Home Improvement Center, and Territorial Seed Company.
