13th Avenue Protected Bikeway Construction Starts Soon

13th Avenue

The first phase of construction will begin this month on the 13th Avenue two-way protected bikeway! That work is preparatory and the actual building phase will begin in April with the project wrapping up in the Fall of this year. The project includes a two-way protected bikeway along 13th from Alder to Lincoln, with new signals, curb ramps, turn pockets, crossings, and other major enhancements to improve the connection between the University of Oregon campus and Downtown Eugene, as well as improving overall bikeway connectivity.

During construction detours will be posted and the main route will divert people on bikes from 13th to 12th for much of the duration of the project. Whatever your mode, use caution when travelling the corridor during construction.
