[ARCHIVED] Study Advances into Design and Engineering

CEiM Open House3

Thanks to all who participated in the Central Eugene in Motion Study.  Since spring 2019 community members have attended stakeholder meetings, open houses, targeted focus groups, and have participated in surveys, all to provide city staff with valuable insights on potential corridor designs. On January 15 more than 60 community members attended a community open house to see the selected design concepts for Midtown Willamette and 8th Avenue downtown.

What’s Next for Midtown and 8th Avenue?

CEiM Process

What about Amazon to Riverfront?

This project area includes the evaluation of High Street and Pearl Street and their connections from the Amazon Path at 19th Avenue to the Riverbank Path north of 6th Avenue. For the time being, none of the four alternatives developed during the evaluation phase have been selected.

Instead, staff will take additional time to refine the analyses completed so far and will implement temporary lane closures in order to collect real-world data about the impacts that may occur if a travel lane or turn lane is closed.  Once analysis of the new data is complete, staff will determine whether to develop another alternative or select one of the existing options.
