[ARCHIVED] Police Seeking Public's Help to Locate Suspect in Shooting

UPDATE AT 2:52 P.M. January 15: Note: People who live in the area are being allowed to return to their homes and apartments. Please don’t cross police boundary (perimeter) tape to do so. While an initial search was done, police are still looking for the suspect and investigating the case.

Eugene Police units are seeking the public’s help locating a man wanted for questioning in response to a shooting in the Kinsrow area that just occurred at 12:05 p.m. today, January 15. The subject, Alejandro Ponce, age 23, was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with an image of Tupac and another rapper,  and black sweat pants. He left on foot but may have since been picked up in a vehicle. If seen, please do not attempt to contact and call 911 immediately.
