The Intergovernmental Housing Policy Board acts as a forum for public input about community issues related to affordable housing. It provides an opportunity for dialogue, collaboration and exploration of low-income and affordable housing issues in the city of Eugene and Lane County. The Housing Policy Board also makes policy recommendations regarding affordable housing to Eugene and Lane County governments.
Mission
The Board’s mission is to increase the availability of decent, affordable housing, for low and very low-income families and individuals in Lane County.
Membership
Housing Policy Board terms are for two years. The Board consists of:
- 1 representative from the Lane County Board of Commissioners
- 1 representative from the Eugene City Council
- 6 citizen at-large members
- Ex-officio members as appropriate
- 1 at-large position is reserved for a low-income representative (currently seeking applicants to fill this vacancy)

The Housing Policy Board is currently seeking one at-large member, a low-income representative. The elected officials from Lane County and Eugene are charged with making appointments.

Advisory Committee Application forms are available online and in the Lane County Board of Commissioners' Office, located on the 2nd floor of the Public Service Building, 125 E. 8th Ave., Eugene. Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, to the Board of Commissioners’ Office, 125 E. 8th Ave., Eugene, OR 97401.
