[ARCHIVED] Man Arrested for Firearm Incident

Travis Lee Potts, arrested for firearm incident

On October 13 at around 4:30 p.m., Eugene Police officers responded to the Beltline and Coburg Road area after a woman called 911 to report a man driving a sedan in the lane next to her pointed a gun toward her while loading a magazine in it.


An officer located a sedan matching the victim’s description in the parking lot at 1500 Coburg Road. The vehicle was occupied by two people. Once other officers arrived, they approached the vehicle and the man in the driver seat got out of the vehicle and was detained. The woman seated in the front passenger seat was also detained. The man was identified as Travis Lee Potts, age 30, of Springfield. The officer who located the sedan observed a handgun in the sedan’s open center console.


During a search of the vehicle incident to arrest, officers found two handguns, Methamphetamine, and Heroin. Potts is a convicted felon on post-prison supervision. He was charged with Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance Methamphetamine, Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance Heroin, two counts of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Use Weapon, Reckless Endangering.


The passenger, Jesse Nichole Pruett, age 22, of Springfield, was found to be in Possession of Methamphetamine and was cited in lieu of custody.
