[ARCHIVED] Street Crimes Unit Arrests Dangerous Suspect Following Menacing Incident at Nite Inn

On September 10, police responded to a Menacing at the Nite Inn on West 6th Avenue involving a firearm and were able to identify the suspect as Jon Ehll Michael, age 49, of Eugene, who left the location following the incident. On September 11, the Street Crimes Unit received information that Michael had returned to the Nite Inn. With the assistance of SWAT, Special Investigations, and Property Crimes, Michael was contacted by the Street Crimes Unit on September 12, at approximately 10 a.m., and taken into custody without incident for Menacing and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. He was transported to the Lane County Jail on the charges.


Following contact with Michael, investigators found information to arrest him on additional charges of Coercion, Hit and Run with Injury, Delivery of Heroin, Delivery of Meth, Possession of Heroin and Possession of Meth.
