[ARCHIVED] City Launches New Online Public Engagement Platform

Engage Eugene - City of Eugene’s public engagement platformEugeneans now have a new tool to get engaged with their City leaders and help inform decisions that could impact the community. Through the City of Eugene’s new public engagement platform called Engage Eugene, community members have the opportunity to share ideas, provide feedback on a range of projects and activities, and discuss important topics and issues that shape and impact our city.

Once registered for the site, people can share ideas and questions about projects and join community conversations. The site has several tools available to help start the conversation:

  • Surveys and polls
  • Question and answer – interact with project managers
  • Online maps where users can place pins to highlight areas of interest and opportunity
  • Idea and image sharing, including a voting option

The input collected on the site will help City staff understand how people in different areas of the city are feeling about various topics. It will also help staff get targeted feedback from specific groups, providing valuable information that can inform activities, programs, and decisions.

Engage Eugene launched with the kickoff of the Central Eugene in Motion project that looks at how people move throughout mid-Eugene. People can use the engagement tools to tell project managers about their experiences in three different areas. City staff will use that information to come up with concept ideas later this year.

Engage Eugene is meant to serve as a one-stop shop for projects where the City is looking for feedback. Staff will continue to add new projects and utilize engagement tools over the coming months.

Get engaged with this new communication tool today.
