On Thursday, July 18, three design concepts will be shared at the Town Square Block Party. Attendees will be asked to weigh in on the three concepts presented with live audience polling. Throughout the evening, City staff and the design team from Cameron McCarthy will be on hand to facilitate design conversations, answer questions and take feedback.
The Town Square Block Party will have a festive atmosphere with family-friendly activities, including outdoor yoga and dance performances. The City will provide free shaved ice for all participants with other food and beverage options available for purchase.
Town Square Block Party Details
- Date: Thursday, July 18
- Time: 5 to 9 p.m.
- Location: The Park Blocks at 8th Ave and Oak St.
In May, The Eugene Town Square design team started a public conversation about the Park Blocks and the future Eugene Town Square. Over 1,000 community members responded to survey questions about how they envision the community’s future central gathering space. For the past two months, the designers have been exploring design ideas and concepts, meeting with key stakeholders and turning the survey responses into reality.
For those unable to make the meeting, an online survey and detailed project updates will be available on July 18 at eugenetownsquare.org.
