Participate in Online Open House for Central Eugene in Motion Study

The City of Eugene is launching a new study to look at how to better move people through central Eugene. Community members can learn about the study, called Central Eugene in Motion, in an online open house. People are encouraged to join others in this first phase of the project and engage in a community conversation.Map of Central Eugene In Motion affected areas

Background

As our greater downtown develops, Eugene’s transportation networks must provide safe and comfortable connections regardless if by car, on foot, bike, bus, or personal mobility device. Our street system can support the success of our downtown and midtown communities, ensure the movement and delivery of goods, and get us comfortably to where we are going.

3 Areas of Focus

The Central Eugene in Motion process will explore planned and potential changes with a focus on three key areas.

1. 8th Avenue

  • Mill Street to Lincoln Street

2. Amazon to Riverfront

  • Pearl/High streets
  • From 19th Ave to 5th Ave

3. Midtown Willamette Street

  • Willamette Street: 18th Ave to 20th Ave
  • 19th Avenue: Willamette St to High St
  • 20th Avenue: Willamette St to Oak St
  • Oak Street: 20th Ave to 18th Ave
