[ARCHIVED] I-105 Project Updates

I-105 Closure

Work is progressing on the I-105 ramp closures. The 6th Avenue on-ramp to eastbound I-105 remains closed until mid-late June. After which, the 6th Avenue westbound off-ramp will close for about four weeks.

This is a great opportunity to explore new ways to travel. We’ve partnered with City of Eugene’s Transportation Options program, Lane Transit District’s Point2point and PeaceHealth Rides to highlight other ways to get to where you need to go.

Reminders

Don’t block intersections, and be aware of bikes and pedestrians. The upcoming good weather means people will get out of their cars and avoid the backups. Watch for them.

Eugene Police Department is increasing patrols in the area.

Some Background

The Interstate 105 (Washington/Jefferson Street Bridge) Bridge Repair Project is bringing bridges and ramps between Delta Highway and downtown Eugene up to current standards. The bridges were built in the late 1960s and early 1970s and need repair and upgrades. Work includes new guardrail, deck paving, seismic retrofits, joint replacements and other repairs.
